The client’s requirement was to use their relative’s long garden for a new house in Cowley, Oxford. They had engaged in a previous pre-application discussion with the planners and PPA Architecture built on the back of this with a new scheme.
Through discussion we were able to achieve the client’s wish for a small two storey dwelling. Some of the challenges we faced included that all living accommodation should face the road, and the overall scale should not cause a sense of overbearing to the neighbours.
